I started looking at parts sheets and thought this would be a lot easier with a simple Excel sheet to co-ordinate all the parts lists and create comparisons. What was also obvious from the thread and the replies is that not every heli crashes the same and what always breaks on one heli may not ever break on another and may break only on occasions on yet another heli! I have had it quoted to me a number of time "get the biggest you can afford to crash" yet the data Slyster posted appeared to indicate that size may not be entirely indicative of crash costs. A recent thread posted by Slyster regarding crash comparison costs got me curious.
